ART ADVISORY/COLLECT/CURATORIAL 

Swarm curates art from emerging and mid-career artists. We provide a venue to view art, as well as an opportunity to interact with artists and like-minded collectors, and be introduced to new work. The emerging art market is enormous and navigating it on your own can be a daunting task.Aside from regular artist receptions, we host First Fridays (the Oakland Art Murmur art walk). Most months, we gather at the gallery and join an informal curator-led tour of the studio spaces at Swarm and surrounding areas. This provides a resource for collectors to explore and socialize in the local art scene.Meeting semi-regularly encourages emerging collectors to develop a greater understanding of looking at art, discovering what you like, and acquiring pieces within budget. The idea is to have fun and increase your comfort with integrating art into your daily life.
