///WHY///

Swarm Gallery considers each project a collaboration with the client to seamlessly integrate artwork into spaces. Art has the potential to transform any room, stairwell or lobby, adding color, light, and new dimension. Art increases a building's appeal and distinguishes it from others.

///HOW///

The gallery refers to a large pool of artists from all over the country for its various projects. These artists work in a wide variety of media and artforms including site-specific installations, painting, sculpture, works on paper, and more.

We survey your space, hand-select artists whose work aligns with your vision, and present "what is possible." Once artists are selected, we either narrow a selection to existing pieces, or work with the artist to commission a unique work.

Swarm Gallery handles every step of the art implementation, from vision to installation. We also offer design services for art brochures or other novelty print pieces.

TESTIMONIAL | 200 Second Street

For our new condominium (opened in 2007) in Oakland's Jack London Square, we made significant effort to achieve a high level of design that reflected both our taste as developers and reinforced the high quality of the residences. Our architect David Baker, suggested that without great expenditure, our two wonderful airy double-height and glassed upper floor elevator lobbies would be spectacular locations for mural paintings.

Swarm Gallery worked with David to develop this idea & progressed the inspiration with great rapidity and success. They selected appropriate mural artists, vetted and interviewed them with us, established appropriate mural subject matter, and then pulled all this together in a contract, followed through to initiate the painting and see the work completed and installed.

With other pressing deadlines concerning the construction, sales and occupancy issues, I was very skeptical of getting the project involved with art and artists at the last moment.

I cannot tell you my surprise and delight with how the mural selection and installation went, and how correct the choices made by Swarm turned out. Swarm accommodated every client concern and produced an effort that exceeded my expectation in every respect. For example, I was concerned that the murals could be damaged and not be easily removed. Svea looked into all the practical and legal concerns around this issue to resolve it quickly. Her artists started on time, and finished under the deadline. The large murals progressed without a hitch and without disruption to completion. Seeing the paintings in progress even generated a lot of sales interest!

The decision to put in the murals in our building was in retrospect an absolute 'must'. Swarm accomplished the entire process superbly, and at a fair and reasonable price.

Every visit back to the building, I feel, as all visitors and residents feel, that the art we added is critical to the high aesthetic level and appeal of the building. It would not have happened without Swarm's taste, client orientation, and intelligent and professional management.
